![]() Ambulatory treatmentMaybe you do not need 24-hour or part-time treatment and you might only need a weekly counseling session with a psychologist. These ambulatory sessions take place at De Hoop's intake office. They are either weekly group sessions and/or individual sessions. Ambulatory treatment is of a clear Christian nature. De Hoop offers two kinds of ambulatory treatment:
Alcohol & Work With the Alcohol & Work project, De Hoop aims at tackling alcohol problems in the workplace. Alcohol & Work also offers ambulatory treatment. If you cannot follow treatment during the day, it is also possible for you to follow treatment in the evening. For more information, please go to the paragraph 'Alcohol & Work'. Goals Treatment is aimed at realizing desired behavioral changes, as you have agreed upon with your care worker. Desired changes could include:
Anorexia and bulimia groups If you struggle with anorexia or bulimia, you can follow ambulatory group treatment. There are weekly treatment sessions at the intake bureau under the supervision of a psychologist or psychotherapist. Therapy Group therapy is supervised by two psychologists/psychiatrists and consists of fifteen weekly sessions of two hours each. It is possible to extend group therapy with ten more sessions. Sessions take place during the day. The maximum number of participants is eight. We have seperate female and male groups. Working in groups has the advantage that you can relate to each other and can motivate each other to change your lives. During therapy, you will also have a number of individual sessions. Goals The main goal of treatment is that you will work at processes of change in your personal life that will lead to a new and restored balance. Finances Ambulatory treatment is partly financed through the Netherlands Exceptional Medical Expenses Act. Clients undergoing psychotherapy have to pay a contribution per treatment session. This also applies to clients participating in the anorexia and bulimia groups. The Alcohol & Work project is fully financed through the Netherlands Exceptional Medical Expenses Act.
