Social care center De Jordaan

Social care center De Jordaan (Jordan) offers 24-hour care to clients with psychosocial problems. De Jordaan admits people with depression, people that have questions about life or feelings of grief and people who have been divorced. People with substance abuse problems may also be admitted to De Jordaan. De Jordaan wants to help people reach a satisfying and meaningful life. People need to deal with problems in a healthy way.

View
De Jordaan offers counseling from a Christian point of view. This Christian view is derived from De Hoop's main mission: helping people on their way to a new life. Being or becoming a Christian, however, is no condition for admission to De Jordaan.

Program contents
The program of De Jordaan consists of several components:

  • Individual counseling
  • Group life - clients must create a good atmosphere in the group themselves. There are many opportunities to learn and practice social skills
  • Thematic and group counseling sessions
  • Sports and working activities

Clients may follow Bible studies, but this is not obligatory. If clients are addicted, they have to stop using and relapse prevention will be part of the treatment.
