About De Hoop

Ambulatory treatment

Some people do not need round-the-clock care or part-time treatment but they might only need a weekly counseling session with a psychologist. These ambulatory sessions take place at De Hoop's outpatients clinic. Ambulatory treatment is of a clear Christian nature.

Alcohol & Work
With the Alcohol & Work project, De Hoop aims at alcohol problems at the workplace. Alcohol & Work also offers ambulatory treatment of alcohol addiction. People can also receive treatment during the evenings.

Anorexia and bulimia groups
Clients struggling with anorexia and bulimia can follow ambulatory group treatment. There are weekly counseling sessions at the outpatients' clinic under the supervision of a psychologist or psychotherapist.

Finances
Ambulatory treatment is partly financed through the Netherlands Exceptional Medical Expenses Act. Clients undergoing psychotherapy have to pay a contribution per counseling session. This also applies to clients participating in the anorexia and bulimia groups. The Alcohol & Work project is fully financed through the Netherlands Exceptional Medical Expenses Act.

Criterions
  • Referral from a general practitioner
  • Registration with the Dutch health insurance fund
  • Discontinuing the use of addictive substances
  • Wanting to have treatment based on Christian principles (this does not apply to ambulatory treatment of alcohol addiction through the Alcohol & Work project)

Please note that care can only be offered to Dutch citizens who are registered with the Dutch health insurance fund. Depending on the type of care, other conditions may be set.
