Intake at De Hoop

People who wish to follow treatment or counseling at De Hoop have to call the central intake office at the outpatients' clinic themselves. Also people that are being referred by other care institutions have to personally call the central intake office.

After someone has called, the central intake office will start the intake procedure. An intake session will be held within five days. During this session, an intake counselor will determine the client's need, in consultation with the client. He will also determine whether or not De Hoop can help the client in question. It is sometimes necessary to have another session.

If De Hoop cannot help a client, the central intake office will attempt to refer the client to another care institution. Clients that are eligible for treatment at De Hoop, will be placed on the waiting list. Waiting periods can vary for the specific kinds of treatment clients will follow. During the waiting period, clients can go to waiting list sessions to receive support.

Please note that care can only be offered to Dutch citizens who are registered with the Dutch health insurance fund. Depending on the type of care, other conditions may be set.
