Your internship will consist of several elements. Below, you will find a summary of the things you will see, do and receive.
- You will receive information about De Hoop through brochures, videos and conversations.
- You will receive a tour of all De Hoop's locations: De Hoop Village, the Oudendijk location and the Spuiweg location. De Hoop Village is De Hoop's main and newest location. At the Oudendijk, psychosocial care center De Jordaan is located. De Hoop openend its first center at the Spuiweg. Nowadays, it houses more than ten projects of De Hoop Foundation.
- You will walk along with one of the treatment staff at a therapeutic center.
- A client of De Hoop will tell his/her story. He/she will talk about addiction and the way out.
- You will participate in group meetings at therapeutic centers.
- You will participate in team meetings.
Of course, you will have many other conversations and also see other things. If there are activities of De Hoop, such as training sessions or seminars, you are also going to participate in these activities.
Requirements
In order to be able to come here, you must state in writing why you wish to come to De Hoop and what you wish to learn. Please send this to De Hoop. We will assess your motivation and goals. We would ask you to also indicate any specific goals you have.
