Part-time treatment

Part-time treatment takes place at weekdays. De Hoop offers a two and three version. Part-time treatment is intended for clients who live independently and have reached abstinence. Clients must have their own housing and spend the days during which no treatment takes place in a meaningful way. They must also be responsible and able to take care of themselves. Furthermore, they must be able to stay clean. Our part-time treatment program is a Christian program. Clients who have problems with this because of their life principles are not eligible for part-time treatment.

View
De Hoop offers treatment from a Christian view on man and a Christian view on addiction and addictive substances. This Christian view is derived from De Hoop's main mission: helping people on their way to a new life.

Aim
The aim of part-time treatment is to help clients deal with addiction-related problems and/or offer help concerning further social rehabilitation.

Eligibility
People are eligible for parent/partner work if they:

  • Have an addiction-related problem
  • Are able to follow therapeutic treatment
  • Have a social network.

De Hoop will refer people to another program if they:

  • Are eligible for 24-hour care
  • Have an aversion against De Hoop's Christian identity.

Contents
Part-time treatment consists of several components, including:

  • Training sessions and group therapy - discussion of topics like relapse prevention, loneliness, fear of failure, sexuality, communication and the use of alcohol and tobacco
  • Individual therapy
  • Psychotherapy
  • Relational therapy as part of the treatment
  • Parenting course (not obligatory)
  • The possibility to gain work experience at one of De Hoop's businesses and to make use of De Hoop's educational center.

Duration
Part-time treatment has a minimum duration of three months and a maximum duration of twelve months. This applies to both the two day and three day version.

Shelter?
Clients following part-time time treatment must have their own housing. This may be an accommodation that is not present on the premises of De Hoop, but it may also be an accommodation from one of our independent living projects (SLP/SILP).

Moving on
If further treatment turns out to be necessary, clients may be referred to another form of treatment, either within De Hoop or outside.

Applying for treatment
Clients may apply for treatment through contacting De Hoop's Information Center: +31 (0)78 6 111 222 or info@dehoop.org.

Role of referring parties
Referring parties may do the following while putting forward and monitoring clients:

  • Providing official referral letters
  • Providing preliminary care
  • Motivating clients
  • Providing interim care (during waiting period)
  • Collaborating in aftercare

Information for parents/caregivers and/or partners
